Proposed Median Modifications in Various Locations in Duval County
Overview

This project proposes median modifications at various locations in Duval County to improve safety for motorists.

This project includes various median modifications on Atlantic Boulevard (State Road 10), Beach Boulevard (State Road 212) and San Jose Boulevard (State Road 13) to improve safety for motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists and other corridor users.

This project includes the following improvements on Atlantic Boulevard (State Road 10):

  • Construction of a directionalized median at Beacon Point Drive to eliminate northbound and southbound through and left-turn movements from Beacon Point Drive and the shopping center driveway to the north.

This project includes the following improvements on Beach Boulevard (State Road 212):

  • Construction of directionalized medians at St. Johns Square Drive and the St. Johns Plaza driveway to eliminate northbound and southbound through and left-turn movements from the shopping center driveways to the north and south.

This project includes the following improvements on San Jose Boulevard (State Road 13):

  • Closure of the median south of Loretto Road to eliminate through and left-turn movements from the shopping center driveways, as well as left turns from San Jose Boulevard into the shopping center driveways.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a virtual public meeting Tuesday, June 30, 2026, online at https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/6204398335795416923 webinar ID 925-903-339) to discuss proposed median modifications in various locations in Duval County. FDOT staff and consultants will be available from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. to answer questions and accept comments. A formal meeting and public comment period will begin at 5:30 p.m.
In-Person Public Meeting (Wednesday, July 1, 2026)
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a public meeting on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, to discuss proposed median modifications in various locations in Duval County. Citizens can attend the meeting in person at the Southeast Regional Library located at 10599 Deerwood Park Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32256. FDOT staff and consultants will be available from 4:30 to 6 p.m. to answer questions and accept comments. A formal hearing and public comment period will begin at 6 p.m.
