Milling and resurfacing on State Road 500 from 10th Street in Williston to the Marion County line will begin May 4, 2026.

The project includes milling and resurfacing, base work, drainage improvements, shoulder widening, curb and gutter, sidewalks, signalization, signing and pavement markings, and other incidental construction.

V.E. Whitehurst & Sons, Inc. was awarded the $3.9 million project.

Traffic will be maintained in accordance with Florida Department of Transportation design standards throughout the project. Drivers can expect lane closures and flagging operations from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., with all other construction activities occurring from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.
